A warm and welcoming environment is always part of The Island Dance and Theatre Company, it's a great place to be and a great start for youngsters who will receive sound technical training that will provide a good foundation on which to build a love for dance that continues through the years.

The principal, Linda Smith, is very well qualified in all aspects of performing, and a member of

The International Dance teachers Association and The Royal Academy of Dance 

two of the world's leading dance examination boards:

My daughter Charlotte and I regularly attend conferences and seminars for our own continued professional development and to keep up to date with new trends in the dance world. We are both Enhanced CRB checked and have Public Liability Insurance in place,and are happy to reassure parents and provide evidence of these upon request. We are trained in technique, theory, anatomy and safe practice for your childs well being.

Please make sure that when you do take your child to a new dancing school, that the teachers are fully qualified with established teaching associations, so your child can, if they wish when the time comes, enter a performing arts school with recognised and accepted qualifications.
